Genocide Education Initiative

Sharing of firsthand survivors testimonies in schools and other educational settings in the National Capital Region, with the purpose of keeping alive the memory of the victims of the Tutsi Genocide in Rwanda and preventing future genocides.

Justice initiative

This ongoing initiative seeks to fight against impunity through denunciation with a view to the prosecution of criminals responsible for the Tutsi Genocide residing in Canada.

Tutsi Genocide Monument

Currently in its planning phase, this project proposes a permanent place of memory in Canada's Capital Region. Such a monument would be a powerful symbol of Canadian values a cherished place commemorate, and a solid educational tool for current and future generations.

Mental Health Initiative

This ongoing effort strives to making mental health resources available and accessible to the survivors community in the National Capital Region, through partnerships with providers, professional workshops and community outreach.

Collection of survivor stories

As the years go by, first hand accounts of theTutsi Genocide are a time sensitive priority for the survivors community. Genocide survivors stories put a face to the facts, and remind us all that history is made and experienced by human beings.

Survivors Empowerment

Through celebratory events, this ongoing initiative creates a framework for exchange and mutual aid, and strong bonds of solidarity both among survivors and between survivors and the Canadian community.
